The publication of this book was a publication for a university project, which was similar to the ISTD (International Society of Typographic Designers) project that was set in the same year. The topic was to create a book about one thing, though for the university project I was not aloud to create it based on research from the internet or books.
The contents of the book had to be filled with stories from friends and family. I decided to pick tongs as my subject for people, where I thought about asking friends about there experiences and expertise with tongs. The responses were great and really help in getting a form of contents for my book, like creating the "anatomy of tongs" content from getting stories off of friends about their mishaps and bad luck with tongs.
For the printing of the book, I had to make 5 digitally printed copies, then replicate the design by analog printing methods like a press and Pantone inks. For this I decided to make sure that the style of the book was something I could replicate, so I stuck to using stencils for the pages. These are the results.
